INSTRUCTIONS FOR ABSTRACT PREPARATION
ABSTRACTS ARE DUE BY 5PM PACIFIC DAYLIGHT TIME ON MARCH 19, 2010
Full papers will not be required at any time. Acceptance decisions will be based only on submitted abstracts. Accepted abstracts will be made available on the conference website and also in print by the Journal of Applied Biomechanics. When preparing your abstract, please note that the electronic version will show coloured images and figures, however the print versions may appear in black and white.
Abstracts should be contained on one page of US letter (8.5 x 11 inches) paper with all margins set at .75 inches. Please format with Arial size 11 font single line spacing, full justified. The abstract must include the title of the paper in bold face, the author(s), the name and location(s) of their institution(s) centered at the top of the page. Use numerical superscripts to distinguish authors from different institutions. The corresponding author’s institutional website and email address should be listed below this. The presenting author’s name should be underlined.
The body of the manuscript should be divided into sections specifically titled as follows:
Introduction
Methods
Results
Discussion
Use double line spacing between paragraphs. Figures and tables must be referenced in the text (Figure 1). Captions must be legible and placed below each figure, and above each table. Figures and tables may span two columns if needed, but please ensure that such a two-column figure or table is at the bottom of the page and clearly labelled. All citations in the abstract should be numerical and in square brackets [1]. Numbering should be in order of citation [2, 3].
When formatting your abstract, please use the Abstract Template
provided here.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Abstracts must be submitted by 5pm (PDT) on March 19, 2010. As the abstracts will be reviewed in blinded peer-review fashion, two versions of the abstract will need to be uploaded:
Version with complete author and affiliation
Version WITHOUT author or affiliation
Both versions of the abstract should be uploaded as PDF documents. The abstract file names for the full and blinded versions should be
Surname_i-FAB2010.pdf
Surname_i-FAB2010_blinded.pdf
If you plan to submit several abstracts please upload a separate set of documents, with a separate indicator for each (eg. Surname_A_ i-FAB2010.pdf for the first submission and Surname_B_ i-FAB2010.pdf for the second submission, and so on).
When you have formatted and proofed the full and blinded versions of your abstract you may upload the documents
here.
