Lab Tour Information


All Tours will be on Wednesday September 15, the day before the formal start of the congress.

  • TOUR #1: NIKE SPORTS RESEARCH LAB, BEAVERTON, OREGON
  • Bus leaves Hotel Deca parking lot at 7am. Return at approximately 7pm that evening. The distance to the Nike Lab from Seattle is ~180 miles with a drive time of 3-4 hours depending on traffic. If you have chosen this tour, you will not be able to join any other tours because you will be away from campus all day.


  • TOUR #2: UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF ORTHOPAEDICS AND SPORTS MEDICINE BIOMECHANICS LABS
  • Volunteers will meet you on the steps near the doors on the south side of Kane Hall on the University campus on Wednesday, September 15 at 10am. They will escort you for the ~10 minute walk to the UW Biomechanics labs, leaving from the steps of Kane Hall at 10:00 am.

  • TOUR #3: VETERANS AFFAIRS RR&D CENTER OF EXCELLENCE FOR LIMB LOSS PREVENTION AND PROSTHETIC ENGINEERING
  • Volunteers will meet you in the parking lot of Hotel Deca; the bus leaves at 12:30pm. Distance to the lab from campus is ~ 7.5 miles. Bus will return to campus in time to join Tour #4.


  • TOUR #4: BROOKS SPORTS BIOMECHANICS LABS IN BOTHELL,WA
  • Volunteers will meet you in the parking lot of Hotel Deca; the bus leaves at 2:30pm. Distance to the lab from campus is ~ 20 miles. Drive time can be up to 1 hour in traffic. Bus will return to Hotel Deca by ~5pm.
